テネシー州にあるLRC (Little Rock City)とアラバマ州にあるHP40 (Horse Pens 40)から戻ってきました。 ずっと晴れててどちらも楽しく登ることができました。
＜weather-天気＞
I think it was pretty warm for November, it went up to 65 degrees during the day time. In the morning and dusk were about 50 degrees and were in better condition than noon. Obviously HP40 needs to have low temp then this.
どちらも最高20℃くらいまで上がってしまい、かなり暑かった。 朝と夕方は10℃前後なので割とコンディションは良かったが、それでもHP40はまだまだ寒い方がスローパーの持ちが良いんだろうと思った。
＜climbing-クライミング＞
LRC - Sand stone with combination of slopers and crimpers. Needs variety of techniques but I thought the grading was softer. Most of the problems are faces but had overhangs and slabs as well. Area is linear but small and is next to golf course. Need to be respectful to golfers. $5/day
LRCは砂岩でカチやスローパーやら何でもある。 グレードは甘い。 フェースものが多かった気がするが、ハングもスラブも何でもある。 ここの特徴はゴルフコースと隣接していること。 入場料は値上げで$5/day。 ゴルファーに対するマナーは特に重要。 エリアは直線だが全体的に見てもそこまで広くなかったが、課題はたくさんある。

HP40も砂岩でスローパー課題が中心。 スローパーに慣れててもグレードは辛い。 舞台があったりしてフェスティバルが行われる場所のようなのでこちらもマナーには注意。 $8/dayとLRCよりも高い。 キャンプやバンガローを借りてたら入場料はそちらに込まれてるぽい。 エリアは狭いが課題は豊富。 でも辛くてとてもナエル。

＜food-食事＞
LRC - Chattanooga has pretty much anything. We ended up being at Urban Stack Burger Lounge because of their beer selections.
LRCはChattanooga, TNに近く、この街には色々と食べるところはあった。 最終的には
Urban Stack Burger Loungeで食事してばかりいたｗ
HP40 - Gadsden had few good southern restaurants but that was about it... Pretty disappointing.
HP40は周辺に街がなくせいぜいGadsden, AL程度。 南部の食事を出すレストランはいくつかあって楽しめたが、ビールの楽しみはゼロでしたorz

と、成果から分かるようにHP40はとても辛かった。
